Larry J. Hughes Larry J. Hughes, chairman of the Commission, represents the Third Congressional District.  He was appointed to the Commission by Gov. Bob Riley and will serve until August 31, 2016.  Commissioner Hughes is the founder and president of Ichtus CONsulting Inc. (ICON), serving physicians and healthcare facilities across the United States.   He holds an undergraduate degree from Troy State University and an MPA with a healthcare concentration from Auburn University.

Charles Ball The vice-chairman of the Commission is Charles Ball. He was appointed by Gov. Bob Riley to represent an At-Large district to the Commission.  His term expires August 31, 2019.  Commissioner Ball is the executive director for the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham. He has an extensive background in municipal government planning that includes Gadsden, Auburn and Albany, Georgia.  His educational degrees include a bachelor of arts degree in business Administration from Birmingham Southern and a master of community planning from Auburn University.

Charles Buntin Charles Buntin of Dothan represents the Second Congressional District. He was appointed to the Commission September 1, 2015 by House of Representative’s Speaker Mike Hubbard. His term expires August 31, 2024. Commissioner Buntin is a shareholder/realtor with Tom West Company. Active in organizations throughout the Wiregrass, he is a member of the Houston County-Dothan Rotary Club and a former chairman of the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce. He successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant exam with an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and holds a Graduate Realtor Institute designation.

Karen Calametti, MD Karen Calametti, MD of Mobile was appointed by Governor Robert Bentley to represent the First Congressional District.  Her term expires August 31, 2020.  Commissioner Calametti is vice-president of Children's Medical Group in Mobile, Alabama.  She received her bachelor of science degree from the University of South Alabama and received her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.

Darius Foster Darius Foster of Birmingham was appointed by Governor Robert Bentley to represent the Seventh Congressional District.  His term expires August 31, 2020. Commissioner Foster is a non-profit executive with a background in finance.  Commissioner Foster received his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Miles College.  He is actively involved in civic and community organizations that serve the State of Alabama.

Miranda Bouldin Frost Miranda Bouldin Frost of Huntsville represents the Fifth Congressional District. She was appointed to the Commission September 18, 2015 by Governor Bentley. Her term expires August 31, 2024. Commissioner Frost is president and chief executive officer of LogiCore Corporation, a Huntsville-based company that provides logistics, engineering and information technology services to United States Department of Defense agencies. A graduate of Alabama A&M University, she is a member of the Greater Huntsville Rotary Club and a board member of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.

Timothy Gyan Timothy Gyan of Birmingham represents the Sixth Congressional District. He was appointed to the Commission September 18, 2015 by Governor Bentley. His term expires August 31, 2024. Commissioner Gyan is a vice president with Regions Financial Corporation. He was a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Leadership Class of 2013 and has served as a loaned executive for United Way of Southwest Alabama and on the board of directors for Child Day Care Association. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of South Alabama.

William R. Jones, Jr. William R. Jones, Jr.  was appointed to the Commission to complete the term of At-Large member Philip C. Dotts. His term expires August 31, 2018. Commissioner Jones has over 40 years higher education experience in governmental affairs. He has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Jacksonville State University. Active in community organizations, he is a past president of the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra board.

Patricia W. McGriff Patricia W. McGriff of Cullman was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley to represent the Fourth Congressional District.  Her term expires August 31, 2020.  Commissioner McGriff is a retired educator of 26 years.  She has a bachelor of science degree in Education from Jacksonville State University.  She is the former director of Jubilee Court of Alabama, a non-profit community ambassadorship program for high school students.  Commissioner McGriff is actively involved in community and civic organizations in Cullman County.

Randy McKinney Randy McKinney was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley to fill an At-Large district to the Commission. His term expires August 31, 2018. Commissioner McKinney is an attorney with McKinney & Associates P.C. and is an owner of Realty Executives Gulf Coast in Gulf Shores. He has a biology degree from the University of South Alabama, graduate degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Auburn University and a juris doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. He is a former vice president of the Alabama State Board of Education.

Stan R. Pylant Stan R. Pylant of Huntsville was appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley to represent an At-Large district to the Commission. His term expires August 31, 2023. Commissioner Pylant is president and general manager of WHNT-TV in Huntsville. Charles E. Sanders, Jr. Charles E. Sanders, Jr. of Jasper was appointed by Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey to represent an At-Large district to the Commission.  His term expires August 31, 2021.  Commissioner Sanders is an attorney with the law firm of Maddox, Thornley and Sanders.  He is a past president of the Walker County Bar Association.  He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Rhodes College and received his juris doctorate from the University of Alabama.
